uh oh.

Well it was a heavy weekend. Had John’s birthday on saturday night, a nice quiet event at John’s place with a few (7) beers, his friends and some karaoke fun… Always a laugh! Anyway, that quickly changed to heading in to town and drinking FAR too much (again) and getting wasted in The Bridge. At some point, John headed to Viaduct, and we were dragged to The Bridge by Lucy. John later joined us and left fairly quickly, we didn’t survive much longer though. I suddenly got very drunk and had to head home, some how though we’re missing an hour. It took 1 hour 20 to get from Gaysville back home. Not good..

Sunday morning came, and went.. I slept through until about 4pm, occasionally getting up to stumble around and throw up, that’s sadly an effect of the GERD and the meds I’m on, I can’t process alcohol anymore. Takeaway followed and lots of Family Guy to soothe the pain.

I’ve only just gotten my laptop back from John’s place, it’s been there for 4 days. My stupid idea to take it for karaoke, downloaded Ultrastar for some of the more obscure songs and only just been able to get it back from John. I can’t believe I’ve lived without it for so long, now having it gone for only a few days is pure torture. I love you MacBook.

Today has been boring as fuck, got my case of wine delivered and had half  a glass of a rather nice Red, sadly, I’m drunk already. Also ended up getting a potato chipper and making some home made chips, onion rings and other goodies. I like being self sufficient. Home made Yoghurt, Chips, and soon a new soda stream to replace the old unsupported model.

Anyway, I’m babbling, and bored.. Time for more Star Trek: The Next Generation

So, Last night I checked in on FB to say I was at the gym with Gareth & John, a friend commented and said “Shower pics!”, which I thought was funny, as it was meant to be.. Nothing sinister just a friend having a laugh. However, Somebody didn’t find it amusing and decided to put a rather snide comment back to my friend, completely unnecessary and damn right rude. Who the fuck does he think he is, He shouldn’t get involved in what’s said jokingly between my friends and I. As a result I blocked my account temporarily as I was embarrassed that such an immature and down right stupid thing had been said.

I will say what the fuck I want to, and expect my friends to do the same. I’m not being controlled, censored or emasculated like that. It’s just not on, Full Stop.

I ache, everywhere…

May have overdone the gym today, I did 15 minutes at 8kph and it killed me, granted that’s because i’m fat, overweight and out of shape. Hopefully that’ll start to improve over the next few weeks. Then did some weight training, rower, cross trainer and some other stuff.. OUCH..

Also been looking at more stuff to improve the flat. TV Brackets, folding desks, Mac Minis, Shelving systems, Steam cleaners.. I need to get started on these things! Can’t wait for the wine to arrive to get the wine rack filled. Hmmmm, Wine.

So, attended the hospital in Wharfedale this morning to see my new specialist to deal with my GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). Was a long trip, set off at 0730 and got there at 0910, but well worth it.

I’ve been put on a combination drug therapy, now comprising Pantoprazole, Ranatidine & Domperidone. This apparently should help stop acid production, strengthen my GI system, and get the acid and food moving quicker. It’s a hell of a whack of tablets though!

They’ve also organised tests, I’ve had a full blood work taken, 5 damn tubes drained, they’re getting an Ultrasound, Barium swallow & PH monitoring sorted and that should be with me soon. The Dr there has taken charge of my treatment which is great, somebody who knows what he’s doing and actually cares. Shame it’s taken a year and has hindered my life.

Hopefully in the new few weeks I’ll have some news and be able to get to the bottom of it all
